Electrical engineering is a field of engineering that generally deals with the study and application of electricity, electronics and electromagnetism. Electrical and Electronics Engineers are concerned with designing and developing electrical systems and components, with focus on economy, safety, quality.

This degree programme is broadly based to prepare the student for a wide range of professional careers. The graduate engineers will be able to deal with anything from power engineering to microelectronics, radar installations to the design of digital systems.

The Students are exposed to various subjects of study such as Drafting, Wiring, CAD, Power saving and Power Control, High Voltage Engineering, Generation, Transmission, Distribution and Utilization.

Career Options

  • After apprentice training, placed as operation and maintenance engineers in industrial and commercial buildings..
  • They also find openings as power control engineers in specialised industries like BHEL.
  • Also have opportunity to be Power Plant engineers or Class-1 Govt. licensed engineers to undertake electrical erection work.
